Zinc Phosphate

Description

Zinc phosphate was originally developed in the UK as a high purity non-toxic alternative to zinc chromate and red lead. It is now used as an extremely effective anti-corrosive additive in paints and coatings which significantly improves their ability to withstand the most arduous conditions.

 Applications

Zinc phosphate is a corrosion inhibiting additive for the paint and coatings industry and also a key anti-corrosive ingredient in a number of well-known paints and coatings.  Zinc phosphate enhances paint adhesion and reduces paint-to-metal reactions while forming a barrier between the substrate and the paint.
